Sonic Sleep Coach App Ensures You Get More Out of Your Sleep Using the Science of Sound; As Seen on Daniel Gartenberg's TED.com Talk
New York, NY, December 11, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Americans are sleeping on average 1-hour less than they did in the 1940's and more than 40 million Americans suffer from periodic or chronic insomnia. Sleep doctor and app developer, Dr. Daniel Gartenberg created a new way to make sleep more regenerative using the science of sound. After receiving grant funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health, Dr. Gartenberg developed the Sonic Sleep Coach Alarm Clock iPhone app, which detects the sound levels in the room and plays sounds to adaptively block out noise pollution and elicit more restorative deep sleep. Dr. Gartenberg recently released a TED talk about the science of sleep and how sounds, when played at the right time during sleep, can help people get more out of their sleep.
Both the app and Dr. Gartenberg’s TED.com talk were released during the week of December 4, 2017 and the iPhone app called Sonic Sleep is currently in the top 20 for paid apps on the Apple app store. More information is also available at: www.sonicsleepcoach.com.
