ITIL Benchmarks and ROI Research Study
Dublin, OH, March 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A research study released today by Glomark-Governan research analysts identified several key benchmarks from companies that have implemented ITIL version 2 processes. These benchmarks include: a reduction in overall IT department operational costs of 6%-13%; a reduction in help desk calls of 8%-14%; and a reduction in overall IT support costs of 16%-32%.
“As companies assess the possible implementation of ITIL version 3, it is important to first understand the benefits that other companies have achieved with the implementation of ITIL version 2. Therefore, the preliminary findings presented in the Glomark-Governan report are documented from companies that have implemented ITIL version 2,” says Todd Whittier, U.S. Regional Director of Glomark-Governan.
The findings include a range of results achieved by 55 companies and government organizations in Europe, North and South America that have implemented ITIL version 2.
“In an effort to expand the breadth of our findings, our research analysts are extending their ITIL research efforts into the first quarter of 2008. A second research report, including new and existing findings, will be released in April of 2008,” says Whittier.
