Improve Health Naturally at Inspire New York
A naturopathic doctor and spiritual leader presents a new experience for church goers by offering health and wellness services and a retreat that focuses on helping New Yorkers improve health naturally.
Queens, NY, June 14, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Helping people to improve their health comes naturally for one Queens, New York resident, who has invested her time in helping clients overcome mental health issues, spiritual blockages and other illnesses. The Reverend Dr. Roxanne "Simone” Lord is a board certified naturopathic doctor on a mission to strengthening her community through one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Developmental Goals of good health and well-being. The naturopath was recently interviewed by MBA students at St. John’s University for the Aim2Flourish platform. Aim2Flourish shines the spotlight on "Business as an Agent of World Benefit" - their words for positive and profitable business. Using the UN SDGs as their lens, students research and identify an innovation and interview a business leader about it. Their stories live on the AIM2Flourish.com platform as sources of inspiration for others.”

Dr. Lord operates a juice bar and health food’s café in the Kew Gardens/Richmond Hill area of Queens. When she opened Mother Earth Juice Bar & Health Foods, the neighborhood was thrilled to receive her authentic, healthy Caribbean dishes and eclectic juices. The number one seller on the juice menu is the “Take Care of Me,” a green juice with enough power to help clients achieve their health goals. The neighbors also go gaga for her Basmati spinach rice with coconut cream, fresh salads, delicious acai berry bowls and the grilled salmon with mango and avocado salsa.
The reverend also runs a church, meditation and wellness center in Jamaica, Queens, which she has christened the “INSPIRE NEW YORK” pavilion. "It's a new concept, a new type of church, which offers, spiritual and mental counseling as well as naturopathic services that help improve one's health and well-being. Churches have seen a decline in numbers, as many people have stopped going, either because of scandals in the churches or disinterest. However, we have seen an increase in depressed people, leading to suicides and mass school shootings. I believe some of this can be decreased dramatically by offering help and counseling in a non-traditional church setting like the model we use at Inspire New York," said Rev. Lord. Church begins at 10 am on Sundays, at 115-42 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica, N.Y. 11434. During the week, people seeking to improve their health can visit the church for reflexology, detoxification, naturopathic consultations, iridology, massages by licensed therapists and more wellness services.
“I saw so many people eating fad diets, living unhealthy lifestyles, living in poverty, drinking too much soda and alcohol, not enough water, not getting enough sleep and leading stressful lives. Knowing that disease is preventable. I decided to do something to create a paradigm shift. So I went back to school and studied preventative, alternative medicine, naturopathy, " said Reverend Lord. "Naturopathy is a system or method of dealing with illness that employs no surgery or synthetic drugs but uses special modalities, diets, herbs, vitamins, minerals, massage, etc., to assist the natural healing processes," quoted Dr. Lord.
The reverend's love of nature, herbs, plants and helping people to restore their mind, body and spirit has led her towards building a restoration retreat center in the foothills of the Catskills mountains, in Ellenville, New York, a two hour drive from NYC. The retreat’s goal is to help people to regain good health by promoting and providing a toxic free, healthy diet and toxic free environment that promotes relaxation, restoration and well-being. The retreat is in its beginning stages and Dr. Lord is seeking supporters to help manifest the vision of people “getting out of their cages” and living happier, healthier, more prosperously and less stressed out lives. There are incentives and perks for each level of contribution to the building fund for the retreat, including pre-booked stays at the retreat. Supporters will enjoy energy restorative massages, the reverend’s motivational books, naturopathic consultations or iridology reports in exchange for tax-deductible donations in building a retreat where one can escape the clutches of the voracious rat race.
