GBDC Entrepreneurship Institute Invites Local Families to Participate in the Multigenerational Business Pitch Competition
GBDC Entrepreneurship Institute invites local South Florida families, entrepreneurs and businesses structured in the past two years to participate in Multigenerational Business Pitch Competition.
Boynton Beach, FL, September 29, 2018 --(PR.com)-- GBDC Entrepreneurship Institute invites local South Florida families, entrepreneurs and businesses structured in the past two years to participate in Multigenerational Business Pitch Competition.
In honor of Global Entrepreneurship Week, GBDC Entrepreneurship Institute is focused on promoting family owned business and the building of generational wealth. South Florida families are being presented with an exciting opportunity to team up and compete to win startup funds and prize packages for services such as accounting, social media marketing, and business consulting and coaching. The top five winning teams will receive support and resources need to grow a business for one year. All participants need to make their family’s dream a reality is a unique business idea.
“This competition is designed to reduce unemployment through self-employment,” said Alterraon (Al) Phillips, GBDCEI Chairman of the Board. Annette Gray, GBDCEI founder, is emphatic about the definition of family. “Family does not have to include a parent; team compilation can include two cousins, aunts uncles, LGBTQ families, adopted and foster families, said Gray. However, each team must include a young adult. The maximum age of the young adult participant has been increased from 25 to 40. The competition is now open to start-up business and business that were established within the past two years.
The application deadline has been extended to October 19, 2018. However, Gray is quick to point out, that it is not recommend to wait until the deadline, because participants will need time to prepare for the first pitch on October 22, 2019.
