Front Rangers Cycling Club Names Scott Christopher Executive Director
Englewood, CO, November 13, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Front Rangers Cycling Club today announced that its board of directors has appointed Scott Christopher as Executive Director. “We are fortunate to have someone of Scott Christopher’s caliber and experience step up to lead Front Rangers Cycling Club,” said James Levy President of the Board of Directors. “The organization has an opportunity to expand our mission of getting more kids on bikes and we need renewed leadership to successfully implement our vision. Christopher is well known in the Colorado cycling community and in the nonprofit bicycle advocacy space. He is a strong communicator with a proven track record of building meaningful relationship with both club members and strategic partners. Furthermore, as a past inner city high school educator, Christopher has a solid understanding of the challenges facing urban youth and the transformational experience cycling can have on this age group.”
Why the Front Rangers? Scott commented, "From my work as a teacher and coach of youth sports, I still have a passion for working with kids and to see them develop into young adults. This past summer I joined the Front Rangers in Steamboat for a big day on our bikes and was particularly impressed with the friendships among the team members, who come from very different neighborhoods, cultural and social backgrounds. I want to see more children experience that diversity of community, through the power of the bicycle," Christopher added. "Front Rangers has accomplished much over its 25-year history. I look forward to building for the next 25-years."
"We are looking forward to this new leadership," said Steve Morgan, MD, orthopedic surgeon at Swedish Medical Center and secretary board of directors of the Front Rangers Cycling Club. "The success of the Front Rangers Cycling Club is due to our coaches, mentors and involved parents. Scott's experience as a teacher and coach is the perfect addition to our team."
