Health Technology Startup Funded by Top Columbus Founders

Columbus, OH, February 06, 2019 --(PR.com)-- A local healthcare technology startup has secured funding from well-known and successful founders of some of Columbus’ top businesses. Prescribe FIT recently closed its seed funding round meeting its goal.

The round closed with an investor profile of 4 top business professionals. Leading the round was Jim Grote, founder of Donatos Pizza and part owner of EPOCH Health LLC, one of the company’s founding entities. Additional investors include Brett Kaufman, CEO and Founder of the Kaufman Development Group, Annie Upper, Founding Mother of Amethyst, and one undisclosed startup founder.

In 2017, Prescribe FIT was formed to transform lifestyles for optimal health and improved wellness. The company has embarked on a journey to improve the healthcare system by bridging the gap between lifestyle health and exam room health.

Prescribe FIT opens a pathway for physicians to refer their patients to lifestyle providers to undergo an assessment, develop goals, focus activities by working with fitness specialists, and track and report progress back to the referring physician.

Brock Leonti, CEO of Prescribe FIT, brings a laser-focused vision to the company with experience in the healthcare and education industries. Having built a startup from idea to acquisition in 2013, Leonti is eager to bring innovation to healthcare.
