Be the Difference Foundation Announces Wheel to Survive Colorado Event
An Indoor Cycling Fundraiser to Benefit Ovarian Cancer Research.
Boulder, CO, July 11, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Ride in the fight against ovarian cancer at Wheel to Survive Boulder presented by Be The Difference Foundation on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DEFINE body & mind, 2408 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder, CO.
One woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer every 24 minutes. One woman dies from ovarian cancer every 37 minutes. 70% of women diagnosed will die from the disease. When properly diagnosed at an early stage, a woman stands a much better chance of survival. However, sadly, there is no routine, reliable early detection test available for ovarian cancer today.
Diagnosing ovarian cancer is difficult. Typically, this is because ovarian cancer symptoms either aren’t apparent in the early stages of the disease or they mimic common stomach and digestive issues such as general abdominal discomfort, bloating and/or a feeling of fullness, even after a light meal, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss or gain, loss of appetite and unusual fatigue.
Wheel to Survive, a relay style indoor cycling fundraiser, is a community celebration of survivors and their families, the spirit of sisterhood and a ride in memory of those who have lost their battle against ovarian cancer. Dollars raised at Wheel to Survive will benefit programs for women currently battling the disease as well as provide much needed funding for research.
“Our mission at Be the Difference Foundation is to create awareness and improve the lives of all people affected by ovarian cancer through education, support and research. The funds raised at Wheel to Survive helps us get closer to achieving that mission,” said Jill Bach, President and Co-founder of Be The Difference Foundation and ten year survivor of ovarian cancer.
Since 2013, more than 1,500 participants in Wheel to Survive events around the country have raised more than $2.8 million that have gone directly to programs helping women increase their chances of surviving ovarian cancer.
Imagine a world without mothers, daughters, sisters and girlfriends. That is a world with ovarian cancer.

Be The Difference Foundation was formed in 2012 by four ovarian cancer survivors who wanted to “be the difference” in the fight against ovarian cancer by helping women increase their chances of survival. To achieve this goal, Be The Difference Foundation focuses on raising awareness and money to fund programs for women fighting ovarian cancer today and to provide research dollars for a cure. www.bethedifferencefoundation.org
