The Kane School Comprehensive Mat Certification is an advanced Pilates Mat Certification Program that is singular in attention to assessment, biomechanics and the application of musculoskeletal anatomy to the human form. Kelly Kane will be teaching this certification workshop.
Prior to enrollment in the Comprehensive Mat workshop students must pass a core anatomy exam or take the Core Muscle Anatomy workshop.
***Core Muscle Anatomy Workshop
Dates: May 16-18, 2008
This course explores musculoskeletal anatomy emphasizing the trunk, hip, shoulder girdle, arm, and neck, and basic principles of kinesiology in these areas, as they relate to the teaching and practice of Pilates, yoga, and bodywork.
***Pilates Equipment – Basic Training I & II
Dates: 7 Workshops Starting July 18, 2008
Basic Training Phase I & II is a comprehensive Pilates certification program. The course includes 98 hours of lecture, broken into seven workshops. Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Choreography, Touch, Biomechanics, Special Populations and Advanced Teaching Techniques. Kelly Kane will be teaching this certification workshop.
