New U.S. GEOTRACES Program Moving Full-Steam Ahead Into Implementation for Collection of Critical Geochemical Data from the Arctic Ocean
The U.S. GEOTRACES Science Steering Committee has established a U.S. Arctic GEOTRACES initiative to help characterize and understand regional biogeochemical changes associated with rapid climate change. The initiative, led by University of Miami Professor David Kadko will use multiple icebreakers, and include scientists from several nations who will contribute to sampling the Arctic Ocean.
