Metropolitan Wind Symphony to Perform Band Concert: Dances
The Metropolitan Wind Symphony celebrates dance with the music in this concert. Dance has played an important, even central, role through music history. Much of their standard repertoire was either written to be danced to (ballet, theater pieces, etc.) or was composed with imaginary dancers in mind. Nearly every piece on this program falls into that category, resulting in a concert that will be full of life and motion. They will also welcome talented student musicians to join them on the stage. - April 13, 2014
