The Audubon Park Neighborhood and Students from Northeast Middle School (NEMS) to Honor Our Urban Ecology at the Spring Wingding, on Saturday April 25, 11am to 2pm

The Spring WingDing, Audubon Park’s annual community festival, coincides with Earth Week and Global Youth Service Day. Students from the neighborhood’s middle school anticipate a fun event which helps raise ecological awareness. “It shows how much these kids really care about the environment,” said Barb Kapala, Beacons Coordinator at NEMS. “By taking ownership of the Spring WingDing, they set an example of service and engagement for the broader community.” - April 15, 2009
