The Tank Faces Sound Issue, Programming Threatened: a New York City Call to Action

The Tank has recently had problems with neighbors regarding noise bleed, despite construction efforts that have included cutting the stage away from the shared wall to reduce vibrations and filling holes in the wall with acoustical caulk. Programming for all of The Tank’s disciplines face potential cancellations and theater closure is possible if a new, soundproofed wall is not built between the stage and the neighboring apartment building. - July 09, 2009
