Soul Centered Health is Changing History with Hypnosis

African Americans fall victim more often to preventable diseases in the United States. One Hypnotherapist is seeking to educate and help using Complementary Alternative Therapies. Hypnosis is very effective in behavior modification and can assist clients in quitting smoking, reducing stress, and managing weight. Eleanor Fineran hopes to educate and assist the public using Hypnosis and feels that as more people learn, they will take advantage of a powerful tool for personal transformation.

Phoenixville, PA, February 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Soul Centered Health was created to service a missing gap in the wellness arena. Although just 13.5% of the US Population, African Americans lead the nation in mortality and preventable disease rates. Three years ago, its founder fought through a 14 month period in which she lost her Father, Husband, 2 family dogs, and her job. She emerged, stronger, and more determined to help others survive through tragedy and illness. Eleanor Fineran is now a Certified Hypnotherapist and she sees clients from many different backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles who have a variety of needs. Everything from smoking cessation, weight loss, to fear of dentists, can be addressed in a typical session. She did not set out to become the only full time African American Hypnosis Professional in the Philadelphia Metro area, it just worked out that way. Women and Minorities have been traditionally underrepresented in Hypnotherapy, but Ms. Fineran, also a Harvard graduate, does not let that dissuade her commitment to the profession.

Hypnosis has been recognized since 1958 by the American Medical Association as a viable alternative treatment. Hypnosis can be used to treat depression, fears, anxiety, and to improve self esteem. Improving one’s physical health is a real benefit of Hypnosis and enabling women to have a healthier drug free approach to manage weight, stress and smoking, goes a long way to reducing the risk for Heart Disease, which is the number one killer of women. African Americans are at increased risk for heart disease, diabetes and a host of preventable illnesses. It is precisely this type of behavior modification that Hypnosis works the best. Ms. Fineran is a member of the Nation’s oldest and most prestigious Hypnosis Organization, the National Guild of Hypnotists. She is committed to educating the public and the private sector on the many benefits of hypnosis, including working with those in the minority community who may not have had the opportunity in the past.

Soul Centered Health offers Hypnotherapy by appointment for those interested in moving forward to a healthier future. As part of her efforts to spread the word, Ms. Fineran will be offering a free workshop at 7 p.m. on March 29th at the Phoenixville Public Library discussing complementary alternative therapies. As for Ms. Fineran, she is just grateful to be in a position once again to help others, knowing that she is making a difference in the lives and well being of those in her community.
