Metastatic Breast Cancer Survivor and Author Pam Schmid to Sign "101 Things You Should Know About Breast Cancer" at National Women's Survivors Convention
Author, actor, speaker, wellness coach and cancer survivor, Pam Schmid, will share her passionate, uplifting, and informative book with convention attendees.
Nashville, TN, August 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Cancer was never on Pam Schmid’s radar as a health and fitness professional, but when it came in 2004, it changed her life forever. She started advocating, created a lifestyle coaching program for survivors, published research, wrote a book, and spoke around the world about living well, even after her cancer returned in 2011. She also has a passion for leading others to prevention and early detection of breast cancer as well as helping them to persevere after receiving a cancer diagnosis. She will be attending the National Women's Survivors Convention in Nashville, TN on August 22-24, signing books and discussing "101 Things You Should Know About Breast Cancer".
In her book, Pam takes readers from the disbelief and fear of diagnosis to a realm of action and empowerment; incorporating both medical information and her own experience. She gives intensely personal and poignant glimpses into her diagnosis which helps others to face similar challenges, advocate for themselves, and feel less alone in the world. One reader wrote, "I found it much more uplifting than other books. It gave me hope in a way other books did not. You provided facts and practical advice yet described your emotions in a way that I could understand and relate."
Through the same pages, "101 Things You Should Know About Breast Cancer" is as effective for caregivers, family, and friends as to those who are living with cancer. Suzanne Lindley, fouder of YES! Beat Liver Tumors expresses, "After my mom's diagnosis with breast cancer, I cried and then froze. Your book gave me answers that enabled us to find light in what seemed like a very dark tunnel." Pam's words are a gift across numerous demographics with the ability to pull readers in and help them to find knowledge and triumph.
That spirit of purpose and thriving is also at the heart of The National Women's Survivor Convention, where Schmid will appear on August 22-23rd. Signings will take place in The Presidential Lobby on August 22nd from 5:45pm to 6:45pm and on August 23rd from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Pam will be available for media interviews in Nashville throughout the convention. For media inquiries, please contact Suzanne Lindley at 877-937-7478.
