Samurai Karate Studio is going to participate in a nationwide shoeless walk-a-thon on Sunday, June 7th at 10:00am. The one mile walk will start and end at Samurai Karate Studio located in the Magnolia Point Shopping Center in Northeast Columbia. The walk-a-thon will benefit an organization called Think Kindness, which has collected over 7,000 pairs of shoes and will be delivering them to poor children in Africa. - May 31, 2009

107 Martial Artists Build a Home and Help Out in The Black Belt of The US
More than 100 martial arts teachers and students from across the North American continent, between March 25th and the 29th, converged upon the small southern town of Greensboro, Alabama to build a home, restore a historic schoolhouse, refurbish a thrift store, and help out with the local animal shelter. Members of this year's Ultimate Black Belt Test program, along with past alumni, will be traveling to Greensboro, AL March 25-29, to work on rebuilding an historic schoolhouse.
